New impulses

Dear members and friends of KammerMusikKöln,

I would like to welcome you to our new season 2018/19, this time marked by Turning Points. Everybody experiences turning points in his or her personal life, these turning points providing strong impulses for artistic trends and the compositions that develop within them. These can be found in this season´s program. Let yourself be inspired and surprised!

Turning points in the sense of a further development from the positive to the even more positive of KammerMusikKöln are especially important to me. I am, therefore, delighted about our new cooperation with the Museum Ludwig. During the major exhibition of works by Gabriele Münter from the autumn of this year, you can also experience KammerMusikKöln in this beautiful museum on the 6th of December.

Staying with the idea of change, we have decided to rename the Kölner Kammersolisten as the Ensemble of KammerMusikKöln. In this context, I would also like to draw your attention to the founding of KammerMusikKöln KonzertManagement. More here.

In this season we will, again, be present with 10 concerts and recitals in Cologne and Bonn, each with fresh instrumental combinations.

How nice it is to see and hear all the founding musicians together this season, and so we celebrate our opening concert with a warm welcome back to José Maria Blumenschein!

My express thanks again this year to our hosts in the Sancta Clara Cellar, Sybil and Kaspar Kraemer, as well as Reverend Waschk in Bonn for their kind and valuable support.

But also and especially to you, dear public, I would like to offer my thanks for your great openness. Stay true to us and join us in creating a strong KammerMusikKöln.

I look forward to many moving concerts and, of course, especially to meeting all of you!

Sincerely yours,

Monika Hermans-Krüger
Managing Director KammerMusikKöln
